I started Bundles of Snuggles in November of 2006 after the birth of my third child, Micah. Micah was born with a congenital heart defect that has required a lot of time at the doctor's office, so I decided to start this business to allow me to stay home with him.
Did you know that 1 out of every 85 children are born with a congenital heart defect? Neither did I until Micah was born. This disease is one of the most common among children, yet there is still minimal research being conducted on ways to find a cure for these children. As of right now, there is no "cure" for any of the 35 known CHD's, rather there are "fixes". There are some kids that will never need surgery, some kids that will require one surgery only and then there are kids that will require numerous surgeries over their lifetimes.
